Introduction to Android Studio

n this session you’ll be introduced to Android Studio, the new IDE from Google (and JetBrains) for Android Development. I will cover the history of the tool and how it came to be. I’ll then dive into creating a simple application with Android Studio. Throughout the presentation (and demo) I’ll demonstrate various aspects of Android Studio and the new tools that have shipped with Android Studio (such as Gradle). I will also demonstrate quick tips and tricks that will enable you to build Android applications quickly and more efficiently using keyboard shortcuts.
