Terry Drozdowski

Current Director of Engineering for Exceda.  Over 15 years of Software Engineering experience, initially in Java and more recently with Scala.

Started my transition from Java to Scala about two years ago while at Limelight Networks, researching emerging technologies.  Guided my team to adoption of the language along with the Typesafe Stack to build a next generation web application and configuration management system.  Currently using Scala on the platform I am developing for use at Exceda for CDN Xpress as well as other future projects.

I've worked as both a consultant as well as full time employee for a number of organizations in the Phoenix area.  Was an early adopter of Java (starting back in 97), surviving the dot com bubble and a number of startups in town.  Worked in financial industry (Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo), e-Learning and now in CDN and cloud services.

A technologist through and through - I am always scouting out for the latest/greatest and looking for how best to apply the new found tools for my toolbox.
